    Today is the big day! It’s March 27, which means the 94th Academy Awards or as everyone calls them, the Oscars, are just hours away. After months of film festivals and campaign events, as well as a few Omicron delays and another round of campaign events, this year’s nominees are ready to celebrate at the Dolby Theater, assuming that some of the controversies surrounding this year’s show don’t get in the way.

    We are ready to bring you everything surrounding this year’s ceremony, so keep on coming back for the latest updates, controversies and news surrounding the biggest award ceremony for movies in the world.

    Will Smith slaps Chris Rock!

    This is not a drill, Chris Rock started making jokes about other actors’ wives. He mocked Jada Pinkett Smith’s bald head and Will Smith proceeded to go on stage and slap him. After that, he demanded Chris to ‘keep his wife out his fucking mouth’. We still don’t know if this is real or not. But it happened.

    Billy Eilish performs ‘No Time to Die’.

    Alongside her brother Finneas, Billy Eilish performs the Oscar Nominated song, ‘No Time To Die’. Academy Award winner Rami Malek presented them.

    And the Best Adapted Screenplay Oscar goes to…

    ‘CODA’ wins Best Adapted Screenplay, Sian Heder got on stage to accept the award.

    And the Best Original Screenplay Oscar goes to…

    Directed by Ryusuke Hamaguchi, ‘Drive My Car’ wins the Oscar for Best Foreign Film.

    And the Best Supporting Actor Oscar goes to…

    Troy Kotsur does the upset by becoming the 60th person with a disability to win an Oscar and he does it in one of the big categories.His role in ‘CODA’ makes him the first deaf actor in history to win this award. Incredible.

    And the Best Animated Short Film Oscar goes to…

    Alberto Mielgo and Leo Sanchez’s ‘The Windshield Whiper’ takes the Oscar for Best Animated Short Film.

    And the Best Animated Fiulm Oscar goes to…

    ‘Encanto’ won the Oscar for best Animated Film, it was pretty much on lock!

    The ‘Encanto’ theme song takes the stage.

    The ‘Dos Oruguitas’ nominated song from the ‘Encanto’ film is performed by Sebastian Yatra.

    And the Oscar for Best Cinematography goes to…

    Dune wins another Oscar with Best Cinematography, they are the big winners of the evening. Director of Photography Creig Fraser comes to the stage and accept the award from the cast of ‘White Men Can’t Jump’.

    And the Best Supporting Actress Oscar goes to…

    The Best Supporting Actress Oscar goes to Ariana DeBose for her performance in Steven Spielberg’s ‘West Side Story’.

    Amy Schumer kicks off with a steamy joke.

    Female comedian Amy Schumer kicks off the event with a controversial joke about pay inequality between women and men. Schumer is to host alongside Regina Hall and Wanda Sykes.

    The Academy Awards are underway!

    The Williams sisters, Venus and Serena kick off the Academy Awards. Beyonce starts with the first number of the evening. ‘Be Alive’, one of the Best Song nominees for the evening.

    ‘Dune’ is the big winner of the technical awards.

    We got two winners of Oscars that won’t be given on the stage. ‘The Eyes of Tammy Faye’ wins Best Makeup and ‘Dune’ wins Best Production Design. Earlier, ‘Dune’ also won Best Sound, Best Original Score and Best Film Editing.

    It’s nearly time for the ceremony to begin at Dolby Theatre, almost everybody is at their seat to enjoy the event.

    15:13 CST: Academy Awards to Celebrate The Godfather, James Bond and… Bruno?

    It’s the 60th anniversary of the first Bond film and the 50th anniversary of The Godfather, and those milestones will be honored at the 94th Academy Awards on Sunday.

    And even though Lin-Manuel Miranda‘s hit song from the movie Encanto was not nominated, Luis Fonsi and Becky G will join members of the film’s cast during a performance during the ceremony.

    13:18 CST: Guests to Wear Blue Ribbons to Show Support Towards Ukrainian Refugees

    According to Showbiz411, this year’s Oscar attendees will wear a blue ribbon in support of Ukraine, which is currently being invaded by Russia. According to the report, the blue ribbon will have the words #withrefugees written on it.

    Celebrities are already arriving at the Red Carpet of the 94th Academy Awards.

    12:26: CST: Amy Schumer, Regina Hall and Wanda Sykes to host 2022 Oscars

    The 94th Academy Awards will be hosted by Wanda Sykes, Amy Schumer, and Regina Hall. For the first time since 2018, the Oscars will be hosted by an emcee, according to Deadline.
