Slash’s late stepdaughter Lucy-Bleu Knight’s loved ones are in mourning.
After Knight died at the age of 25 on Friday, her mom, Meegan Hodges, broke her silence on the tragedy.
Hodges commented on Knight’s cryptic Instagram that was posted two days after her passing.
“MY BABY GIRL 🕊️🤍 I LOVE YOU WITH EVERYTHING. I’M SO SORRY,” Hodges wrote.
Hodges shared her late daughter with her ex, Mark Knight. She first dated Slash, 59, in 1989 before rekindling their relationship in 2015.
Knight was born on December 6, 1998. She died on July 19.
The Post confirmed Tuesday that Knight’s autopsy was completed. Her cause of death is deferred as additional testing takes place.
Slash announced his stepdaughter’s death on Instagram on Sunday.
He called her “an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, lovable, sweet soul.”
The Guns N’ Roses guitarist also asked for “privacy” and that “social media speculation be kept to a minimum” so the family could “grieve and process this devastating loss.”
The selfie of Knight, shared on her Instagram account two days after her death, came with a haunting caption.
“Whether I made you feel excluded, manipulated/ controlled you, told you to quit your day job from the comfort of being financially supported by my parents, or drowned real issues in toxic positivity – I am sorry,” the message read.
It continued, “Countless missed opportunities and connections due to a disgustingly big ego, insecure heart and fear of being vulnerable. May my soul learn to evolve from my poor job at being Lucy-Bleu.”
In the photo, Knight stared away from the camera with a serious look on her face. She was wearing a pair of glasses and two necklaces.
The post was flooded with comments, in addition to the one from Knight’s mom, with reactions to her tragic death.
“A sad note scheduled just hours before death, doesn’t that feel suspicious,” one person wrote.
“I can’t believe you can schedule a post. This has to be so shocking and hard for her loved ones. I’m so sorry to all who adored her. This sucks,” another user said.
A third comment read, “Really sad to read this even for someone that didn’t know her. Got a feeling reading these comments she was harder on herself than she needed to be and well loved.”
Slash canceled four upcoming dates of his solo S.E.R.P.E.N.T tour before disclosing his stepdaughter’s death.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, the S.E.R.P.E.N.T tour regrettably has to cancel the below performances. Refunds will be available at points of purchase,” the announcement read.
Slash shares two children — sons London, 21, and Cash, 20 — with his ex-wife, Perla Ferrar. The former couple were married from 2001 to 2014.
