After all, you’ve done to become the person you are today, the last thing you want to do is change your ways because, for some reason, you suddenly inconvenience them by being you. Not only will it feel like a betrayal, as this person made you feel as though you were perfect for them, just the way you are, but because you can’t understand why they would WANT you to change. Aren’t you good enough as is? Of course, you are, and you know it.
