A shopper has shared a little-known freebie hack for the popular Frank Green water bottles, after she accidentally dropped her bottle and damaged the lid.
The Australian mum, called Ammy, posted on Facebook, where she explained that Frank Green will replace the lid of the $59.95-$89.95 bottles if they are dropped and break, thanks to their customer satisfaction policy.

Ammy wrote: “Not really a markdown but a way to get a replacement for free.
“With all the hype with the Frank Green water bottle, my daughter begged and begged me for it for her birthday. I read all the reviews and from the comments on here that the lids break easily and I wasn’t convinced it was worth the money but finally gave in and bought one for my daughter.
“The lid broke after 10 days with it just rolling off the back seat of the car onto the floor. I bit the bullet and ordered a replacement lid for her and it broke after three days after falling off a table to a carpet floor. I vowed never to buy any more Frank Green for my daughter and did the ‘I told you so’ talk.”
Ammy went on to explain that “a week or so” after the event, she decided to email Frank Green to let them know how “disappointed I was with the quality of the lids and how absurd it is that they charge $60 for such a fragile not fit for everyday use bottle”.
She was later shocked when she got an email back from Frank Green, who said they would replace the two lids for free.
Hundreds who saw the Facebook post were impressed with the hack, with many saying they had no idea Frank Green offered this service.
“I wish I’d known three days ago,” one commenter wrote.
“Frank Green’s customer service is amazing. They replaced my daughter’s lid as well after it cracked. I believe there’s 12 month’s warranty on their products,” another added.
A third said: “I’ve had mine for years, dropped it heaps and it’s never cracked. It’s like the new ones aren’t as strong?”
The Frank Green website states that all of their products do, in fact, come with a 12-month warranty.
“The lids are pretty sturdy, but not indestructible,” the website says.
“Please reach out to our team via email and provide the order number and a photo of your lid as you may be eligible for replacement under the 12-month warranty.”
