Though Comcast offers employees remote work with flexible hours and days, last September it launched a four-day in-office schedule. The company has launched other initiatives aimed at lessening wealth disparities across the U.S. by fostering digital equity. It’s also committed to shrinking its carbon footprint, cutting its enterprise-wide greenhouse gas emissions by 38% since 2019.

Comcast also aims to be carbon neutral by 2035 and has committed $1 billion to closing the digital divide in the next decade through the Project Up initiative. The company’s Lift Zones program provides free Wi-Fi access in neighborhood community centers across the country. Since its September 2020 launch, Lift Zones has provided nearly 6 million free Wi-Fi user sessions to students, adults, veterans, and seniors. And the NBCU Academy, which launched in 2021, provides students from underrepresented communities a pipeline into newsrooms with job training and education on journalism fundamentals.

This comes in the form of balance, benefits, workplace amenities, community involvement, and social/political engagement.”
