Please note: The numbers here do not include all Twitter Blue subscribers. Twitter does not provide a way to list subscribers, and the methods used to compile this list do not find all accounts (in particular protected accounts, non-Anglophone accounts, and accounts with a small number of followers are less likely to appear here). The most recent internal leaks suggest that this list includes around 85-90% of all Twitter Blue subscribers.
The last update was delayed for a couple of days because I was traveling, so this update doesn't cover a full week. I did make some changes to the data collection system this week, with the goal of improving coverage for non-Anglophone accounts, which may account for part of the increase in subscription numbers (since some of these newly-identified subscribers may have been subscribed for more than a week, but are only being picked up by the system now, because of these improvements).
Update for the past week (minus a couple of days):
Net increase of 31,497 identified current Blue accounts for a total of 539,507. This puts my estimate for the total number of subscribers around 600-635k.
Some other information about current subscribers
Follower counts
Note that the Blue accounts that our methods miss will generally be newer and less prominent accounts, which means that these numbers are likely to be low—for example the number of Twitter Blue subscribers with fewer than 1,000 followers is probably much higher than 50%.
Other verification
Overall only about 4.5% of legacy verified accounts are currently signed up for Twitter Blue.
