Twitter loses it over Jeffrey Dahmer costumes for Halloween

It’s not the killer costume you should be wearing this Halloween.

The internet has put out a PSA that dressing up like serial killer and cannibal Jeffrey Dahmer — who has resurged in notoriety from the hit Netflix series “Dahmer — Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” — is not acceptable this Oct. 31st.

Impersonating Dahmer for kicks is not only blatantly disrespectful to the families of the 17 deceased, but also shows a disturbing, tasteless side of one’s psyche, Twitter users have griped in outrage recently.

“Please do not ‘Cosplay’ or dress up as Jeffrey Dahmer for Halloween. Stop idolizing a horrific human that committed atrocious crimes. It’s f—ing weird,” tweeted @DarlinSincerest. “Go to therapy to work through your weird a– obsession, too. That s–t is not healthy.”

“We get that there is a cool new Netflix show about him but this man was a real life murderer who does not deserve the praise,” wrote @teais_tasty.

The outrage has reached a point where many say sporting a look of the Milwaukee mass murderer warrants a public beating.

“if you see someone being Jeffrey Dahmer for Halloween, please beat them up,” tweeted @AzulasSon.

“If you dress as Jeffrey Dahmer for Halloween I truly hope you get beat up,” posted @zahramusa26, warning all those “in the wrong” for donning the costume.

But it seems not everyone got the message.

Instagram user Sophia Casanova posed as Dahmer getting his mug shot taken — after a previous photo of the costume was allegedly taken down by the platform.

“Posting me as Dahmer again because it got deleted,” Casanova wrote. “I worked too hard to be censored!”

Beyond individuals supposedly taking things too far, Dahmer has apparently become a marketing tactic for spooky parties at the end of the month as well.

Another nightclub event service, Crisis, in Nottingham, England, recently walked back an upcoming serial-killer-themed night — of which Dahmer was at the forefront, the Tab reported.

But rest assured, there seem to be plenty of party hosts with much more level heads on their shoulders.

“If someone comes dressed up as Jeffrey dahmer to my Halloween party they’re getting kicked out,” tweeted @soul_latinaa.
