Shanna Moakler’s on-again, off-again boyfriend pleaded not guilty Friday to multiple domestic violence charges stemming from a February altercation.
The Los Angeles City Attorney charged Matthew Rondeau with misdemeanor domestic violence, battery and vandalism, court documents obtained by Page Six show. He pleaded not guilty to all charges but has a pretrial hearing scheduled for Monday.
Moakler, who is fully back together with Rondeau, told TMZ that she is declining to press charges against her beau.
“I’m not pressing charges. I’m hoping the city attorney respects my wishes and drops everything as well,” she said. “I will be supporting Matthew 100 percent. This has disrupted our lives enough. We have both learned from this experience we never wish to have been public, and we would like to move forward in a positive and peaceful manner.”
Rondeau, meanwhile, described himself as an “admirable person” despite the charges he is facing.
“I haven’t even spoken or made a comment because I am so saddened and disgusted with the narrative the media has portrayed me as,” Rondeau, 30, told the outlet. “I pray that the city of LA allows me to show them they made the right choice on dropping all charges against me. I am an admirable person, an amazing son and a very respectable and loving partner.”
Rondeau was arrested earlier this year after he posted a disturbing video to social media in which he hurled slurs at the “Celebrity Big Brother” alum, 47, and accused her of cheating on him.
According to the since-deleted, expletive-filled rant on Instagram, Moakler allegedly left their house and stayed the night with a neighbor, his wife and their kids. When Moakler returned the following morning, the fighting continued, allegedly turned physical, and that’s when the cops were called.
Moakler received a protective order against Rondeau, which ultimately proved futile because they reconciled anyway.
