Beyoncé Embraces Her Country Side in Latex Bodycon Dress and Cowboy Hat for Album Signing in Japan

Cowboy Carter is here — and Beyoncé celebrated in style.

For the release of her latest album, the "16 Carriages" singer greeted fans at Tower Records in Tokyo for an album signing and she fully embraced her country side — while also spicing things up in true Beyoncé fashion.

She showed up at the store wearing a brown latex belted bodycon dress topped with a matching trench coat. She also wore brown opera gloves, strappy brown heels and a brown cowboy hat for a full monochromatic moment.

For the last several weeks, Beyoncé, 42, has truly leaned into her cowboy-chic aesthetic, wearing cowboy hats for all occasions.

When she sat front row at Luar during New York Fashion Week to watch her nephew Juelz walk the runway, she did so in a plunging embellished gray pantsuit. Naturally, she wore a matching cowboy hat and carried a metallic Luar handbag.

Her big announcement of Cowboy Carter came during the 2024 Super Bowl, though fans didn't yet know what the album would be called. At the time, the Grammy winner just teased act ii — a follow-up to Renaissance.

Fans also didn't yet know just how country-style she was going to go, but Beyoncé actually teased her new era at the Grammys the week prior when she showed up wearing a Louis Vuitton matching set, complete with a Stetson cowboy hat.

She rocked the iconic hatmaker's Shasta design in Mist Grey — which retails for $440 and is still available for purchase — and has remained loyal to the style since then.

Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter was released on Friday and includes 27 tracks with features from icons like Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson.

On March 19, she wrote on Instagram of the album, "This album has been over five years in the making. It was born out of an experience that I had years ago where I did not feel welcomed…and it was very clear that I wasn’t. But, because of that experience, I did a deeper dive into the history of Country music and studied our rich musical archive. It feels good to see how music can unite so many people around the world, while also amplifying the voices of some of the people who have dedicated so much of their lives educating on our musical history."

She went on to describe criticisms she's dealt with over the years and how she's pushed through them — arriving at her place in the industry now and how this album fits into her discography.

She concluded, “This ain’t a country album. This is a 'Beyoncé' album."
