Dolly Parton

Dolly Parton is a singer-songwriter, actress, philanthropist, and businesswoman. She rose to fame in 1967, singing as a duet with Porter Wagoner on The Porter Wagoner Show before releasing her first solo hit, "Joshua," in 1970. Her other popular hits include "I Will Always Love You," "Jolene," and "Here You Come Again." Parton was also a star on the big screen with notable roles in 9 to 5, Steel Magnolias, and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. In 1975 and 1976, Parton was the Country Music Association's back-to-back female vocalist of the year; she was named entertainer of the year in 1978. She is also joint-owner of the Tennessee theme park resort Dollywood.
