Thanks to a very curious toddler and a bed with an adjustable base, toys of all shaped and sizes were disappearing into the abyss behind and under the bed. Thanks to night stands on both sides of the bed it was extremely difficult to get to them. We basically had to climb under the bed or mission impossible down from the top of the bed with it in the seated position. Needless to say after doing this a few dozen times you start looking for other options. I LOVE this thing! It gets into hard to reach places and is just the right length. The magnetic piece also works well at picking things up and is much stronger than I would've expected. I love it so much we might need a second one for our main floor when the couch that's pressed up against the wall becomes the new target.

I purchased 2 of these grabbers, so I'd have one available in my home office and the rest of my house.
I've noticed that others have given this tool a lot lower rating than it truly deserves, under rating its strengths at being able to grip, and lift objects because of it not being "strong enough" to do certain jobs....... it is not the fault of this tool. It can grip and lift, plenty of given weights, but can ONLY be as strong as the person's using it, ability to grip and apply enough pressure.
I find this grabber to be plenty strong enough to do what's needed, if one's grip is strong enough for the task at hand.
I am NOT impressed, however, with the; "micro sized" magnet... that is imbedded in one of the claws.
I would say, roughly , that this magnet is MAYBE about 3mm in diameter, and may have a load capacity of about 1 pound in lifting capacity. (if that much!?)
Still, all together, this IS a very good and well made, "grabber"!
If you use this item as it's intended to be used, and don't use it as a "crane... capable of moving heavy furniture".......... it's very well worth every penny you might pay for it!

This is my second grabber. My first one was folded into 3 pieces and you had to lock them together with those U-clips in two places. It was not stable and a pain to connect and I threw it away. This one uses elastic to just pop it into place. Also, probably because I chose a slightly shorter one this time, it is much more stable and effective at grabbing things. Great product for the price.

I found this grabber to be very helpful and useful while I was recovering from abdominal surgery and couldn't bend down or lift anything for several weeks. It can't pick up heavier items, which you're not supposed to do after abdominal surgery anyway. So that worked just fine for me.
I picked up papers, pencils, food wrappers, electrical cords, Google Pixel phone, playstation controller, light weight books, etc. With this grabber without issues 👍 also helpful for getting small objects under beds and dressers and the like

The tool worked very well for picking up litter, including over 7500 cigarette butts (smokers: properly dispose of your polluting butts!) and small pieces of plastic/glass (grabbed them well). The trigger handle is much better than the professional litter pick up handle - the latter cramped my hands. This tool doesn't cramp my hands. However, the tool broke after 40+ outings. Wish the open/close mechanism could endure this usage longer to avoid adding it to the trash pile!
