Douglas Campaigns for Hope and Thomas to Get Together as Liam Panics to Brooke

In the Forrester office, Thomas tells himself that Hope is off-limits as he helps her adjust the gown in the mirror. Douglas and Liam appear at the door as Thomas touches Hope’s waist. Douglas tells Hope she looks beautiful.

Thomas flashes to framing Brooke with the voice recording as Liam says he and Douglas were hanging out at Eric’s place. He reiterates that he knows he’s not the kid’s dad, but he was hoping Hope would help him explain why it’s so important to him that Douglas come home for a bit. “That’s what you want too, right?” he asks his wife. She glances at Thomas.

At Brooke’s place, she vents to Katie about Hope spending a lot of time with Thomas, not only at the office but at Eric’s place too. The blonde turns the conversation to Katie and Bill. Katie guesses now that she and Ridge have split up, Bill’s been over to see her. Brooke’s expression tells her she’s right. Katie muses that it happened even faster than she expected. Brooke explains she doesn’t want to be saved by Bill or anybody; she just wants her husband back. She wishes Ridge had told her what changed.

At Deacon’s place, Sheila guesses that he went to see Brooke after finding out she and Ridge broke up. “You just couldn’t get there fast enough.” He admits it. Miffed, Sheila tosses her newspaper on the sofa. He reminds her he can go wherever he wants. She fumes that he’s dreaming if he thinks he has a shot with Brooke. Sheila advises Deacon that the best thing for everyone is that he stays away from her. Deacon wonders if Sheila is threatening him. Sheila muses that it’s just solid guidance and if he keeps stalking Brooke he’ll find out. Deacon reiterates it’s a threat. Sheila just wants him to be realistic. Deacon finds that hilarious coming from her. Sheila wants him to admit that after all the nights they’ve shared, even if he could be with Brooke it wouldn’t be the same. “She can’t hold a candle to me. Why don’t you just admit it… Daddy.”

At Brooke’s place, she tells Katie that Deacon and Bill could have promised her the world and it wouldn’t have made a difference. She feels Bill would have acted differently if he thought there was a chance with her, but Katie isn’t buying it. She wants to give her heart to a man who can give her all of his, and muses that they’re out there. Brooke senses she’s seeing someone but Katie’s not forthcoming. Brooke relays that her marriage isn’t the only one under attack — Hope and Liam’s is too.

At Forrester, Douglas protests that he doesn’t want to leave Eric’s house and go back to the cabin. Hope tells him they will find a way to make it work. Liam reels as Douglas suggests Hope and Beth come to spend the whole weekend with him and Thomas at the Forrester mansion. Hope reminds the kid they’re working on a huge preview. She and Thomas assure him it will happen right afterward. As they share a group hug, Liam looks sad and put out.

At Deacon’s place, he’s fine with not talking about Brooke and tells Sheila to put it far out of that twisted little mind of hers. They joke about what she did today — the same thing she does every day; stare at the walls, watch her soaps and wait for him to come home. She exists for him. “You are my whole world.” She could have left town, which would have been easier and less stressful but she needed to be there close to her son and grandson. Deacon remarks on her cutting off her toe to make it happen. Sheila tells Deacon he drives her crazy “you sexy thing”. She’ll never be able to repay him for what he’s done but she’s going to try. They start kissing passionately.

At Brooke’s place, Katie offers to keep an eye on Hope at the office and her sister is grateful. She questions Katie about the new man in her life. Katie promises as soon as there’s something to tell, she and Donna will be the first to know. Liam arrives and Katie takes off. Brooke asks her son-in-law, “What’s going on?” Liam rants that Hope and Douglas are doing exactly what Thomas wants them to do and he’s getting shut out.

Liam tells Brooke about his visit to Douglas at Eric’s place and asking him to come back home. She’s encouraged by this, but Liam explains Douglas wanted to go discuss it with Hope and Thomas. When they arrived, Thomas had his hands on Hope doing the whole designer thing. He can’t understand how Hope can stand to have him so near to her. Brooke flashes to finding out that Hope thinks Thomas is hot. They lament Hope forgetting about the past. Liam feels Douglas is helping Thomas and relays that the boy asked if they could all spend the weekend together without him. Brooke is appalled. Liam says it feels like more is going on here. He’s freaked out because he’s trying to look out for his family, but no one is listening.

At the office, Hope and Thomas spend time with Douglas who loves hanging out together. He loves them and wishes they loved each other as well.
