I can’t remember who first named my annual draft guide “The Beast.”

It certainly wasn’t me. To be honest, I didn’t like it at first and tried my best to avoid it. It sounded cartoonish and self-serving.

But despite my best efforts, the name stuck. And now, I have learned to appreciate the nickname. I view it as a motivational tool. In order to have a moniker like “The Beast,” it better live up to it.

And I think the 2022 NFL Draft Guide does.

As someone with a deep passion for scouting and football evaluation, the goal of this draft publication is simple: Create something that I would want to consume. And then make it even better.

This year’s draft guide is the most extensive to date. Scouting reports on 399 prospects. Rankings and testing data for 1,698 prospects. Hundreds of schools represented, from Georgia to Mount Union.

There were several factors that made this the most challenging draft guide I’ve done. The largest pool of draft-eligible players that we have ever seen. A shortened process because of the extended NFL regular season. And on a personal level, baby twins and four kids total at home (I have a very understanding wife). But those are also a few of the reasons why I am so proud of this guide and excited to share it with you.

You won’t agree with all of my rankings or reports, but that isn’t the purpose of this guide. If we all saw each player the same, the draft wouldn’t be as much fun to talk about and debate. Use this draft guide as a resource. Full analysis, verified testing data, insight from NFL scouts and coaches and more.

Some of you have been reading my draft guide for almost a decade — and I can’t thank you enough for the support over the years. For others, this might be your first time. If you enjoy the NFL Draft, you will not be disappointed. I promise.
