The Tampa Bay Rays signed starter Tyler Glasnow to a two-year, $30.35 million extension on Friday, a source confirmed to The Athletic. Glasnow, who was previously set to hit free agency after the 2023 season, will now be under contract through 2024.
The extension will pay Glasnow $5.35 million in 2023, which was to be his final year of arbitration eligibility, and $25 million in 2024. The deal has significant bonuses based on where he finishes in the Cy Young Award voting.
