The Reproductive Equity Now
City Champion Pledge
Building local power and advocating for reproductive equity.
There are many ways for city councilors and mayors to use their office to support the fight for reproductive freedom in Massachusetts. And voters need to know which local elected officials will stand up for their reproductive rights. That’s why Reproductive Equity Now created the City Champion Pledge in August 2021.
By taking this pledge, candidates commit to protecting everyone’s right to access the full range of reproductive health options, including preventing unintended pregnancy, bearing healthy children, and choosing safe, legal abortion. No elected official or candidate can be a true champion for reproductive equity and freedom without a constant commitment to anti-racism and protecting voting rights.
