Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift (born December 13, 1989) is an American singer-songwriter. She rose to prominence in 2006 with the release of her country single “Tim McGraw” from her self-titled debut album. Her sophomore record, “Fearless,” went on to become the most-awarded country album of all time. Swift released two more country albums, “Speak Now” and “Red,” before transitioning to a pop sound with 2014’s “1989” and 2017’s “Reputation.” In 2019, “Lover” became her sixth consecutive album to debut at number one on the Billboard charts. During the coronavirus pandemic, Swift explored the indie folk genre with the critically-acclaimed records “Folklore” and “Evermore” in 2020. Her tenth album, “Midnights,” was the best-selling album of 2022. Following the sale of her first six albums’ masters, she announced plans to re-record all her music, which she began releasing in 2021. Swift has also acted in several feature films, including “Valentine’s Day” (2010), “Cats” (2019) and “Amsterdam” (2022). The singer directed several of her own music videos, including “The Man,” “Cardigan,” “Willow,” “Anti-Hero” and “All Too Well: The Short Film.” With 46 Grammy nominations and 12 wins, Swift is the first and only solo female artist to win three times for Album of the Year.
