Best steaming device on the market.
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Incredible product. Worth all the money. At first it seems very overpriced but it's well worth the value. It's very easy to use. First of all there is no ads on the Home Screen. You just plug it in and watch right away no unnecessary ads that may or may not interest you unlike the LG WebOS, Roku, Fire TV, and Samsung. The OS is similar to the iPhones which is very easy to use if you have an apple device. The Apple TV 4K has almost every app you can imagine which there is no barrier like other streaming sticks or devices that doesn't have a certain app. Best thing about it is the Apple TV app (which is on all streaming devices). You can save all your recently watched and it's all there for you. If you look up a movie or show it tells you what steaming service it's on or if you have to pay. It's truly incredible and does all the hard work for you. The OS is incredible. You can go from app to app in a blink of an eye. You can turn off the TV and device and turn it on the next day and it will leave you where you left it at. You can also use your iPhone to type in a name of a video or movie. The simplicity of this device is great. The remote is Also very good very simple only a few buttons and you can use Siri if you want. You could also speak into it if you don't want to search something up by typing. Only downside of this device is that they don't ship it with HDMI 2 or 2.1 for $180 it's kind of stingy not to ship it with one but I think the philosophy is to keep carbon footprint down. I had an extra HDMI cord that I didn't use but keep that in mind. This device is incredible and I recommend it 1000 times. It's all about streaming and about the customer not about ads and all that BS. It's so simple, it's so quick that it's well worth all the money. You will never be disappointed if you purchase this. (P.S. - The screen savers are truly incredible and apple has put a lot of work into them. I think it's interesting seeing a sort of time lapse of places around the world and it's beautiful.)

Love my Apple TV’s - great with Optimum
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased 3 Apple TV’s to avoid having to pay monthly charges for my Optimum Altice boxes where I can use the Optimum App instead. The Apple TV is so much more functional and works great with my Apple devices - I am so happy I made the decision to buy them. They were well worth the extra premium I had to pay to pick them up. Even if you don’t have Optimum, consider buying these devices if you are an Apple device user (iPhone, Mac, iWatch, etc…), or if you like a device that is well put together and works well.

Best investment
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best investment I’ve made in years. At the time I was still paying for cable. Now I only pay my streaming service which is about a 1/3 of the price of cable. Also, please make sure you buy the geek squad insurance, as lightning struck near my house during a storm (older house/older wiring) and burnt up the first one. The insurance replaced it at no cost. Just make sure to call in advance and make sure that they’ll make the exchange at Best Buy or if they’ll send you to an Apple Store like they did me.

Apple TV 4k
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great! I have a LG smart TV and for some reason, they don’t support the ESPN app. I got this Apple TV and can use any app I want and everything I stream is great 4k quality. 10/10 recommend, especially if you don’t have a smart TV. It also has a gray remote that is slightly thicker than the original Apple TV remote which makes it easier to keep track of.

More than a streaming device. It’s Apple TV.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn’t buy this device to make my tv smart (it’s a smart tv), I didn’t buy this device so I can stream other streaming apps (my iPhone can do that) I bought this device because that $179 price tag offered more than a streaming device. Everything about it is worth it. The Apple TV itself has a amazing chip and it’s powerful. The Siri Remote is golden. And this is the Apple ecosystem which fits a customer like me to enjoy what apple does. I get why it’s expensive, because it does more than a average streaming device. You can watch films, play games, tells you the weather, has Apple Music, with iOS 15 you would be able to do FaceTime on the device, it mirrors your own iPhone/iPad wirelessly without no lag. Years ago I always thought the Apple TV was a waste until I actually got my hands on it today. This black box is amazingly powerful.

Q: QuestionWill there be high frame rate Dolby Vision? If not, why not? I hear it’s only available through rumors if you stream from your phone but that makes no sense why not just make it available on the device always?
Asked by Justin.
- A:Answer So, according to 9to5mac: “Apple says the move to the A12 Bionic chip with the new Apple TV 4K enables high frame rate support for HDR and Dolby Vision at 60 fps for a more smooth and lifelike viewing experience. tvOS 14.5 supports high frame rates for AirPlay as well, so iPhone 12 Pro users can wirelessly cast 60 fps Dolby Vision videos to the new Apple TV 4K.” ...that verbiage says to me that they support high frame rate HDR & Dolby Vision for regular use as well as via AirPlay. So it should be both, not just via AirPlay. At least that’s what it seems like to me.

Q: Questionif i have a 6year old 55" Samsung 4k TV is this item hard to set up and use. I am 84 years old.
Asked by toothfairy.
- A:Answer The Apple TV is very easy to set up, possibly the easiest of any streaming device because Apple thrives on ease of use and making sure their products make sense. You’re 4K tv would work great with this, especially if you already have other Apple devices like an iPhone or iPad.

Q: QuestionWill this work for 2016 model UN55KU6270F
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer yes, it should, even if the tv set is not 4k capable, apple tv still offer a variety of output resolutions to accommodate to most TV's out in the market and also offering backward compatibility.

Q: QuestionHDR to SDR vice versa switch - All streaming devices usually have a lag (black screen for a while) on switching from one format to another. Even the previous model of Apple TV 4K has that. Does this new model has any improvement in that?
Asked by HTGuy.
- A:Answer I assume that you are referring to switching from an HDR format to SDR formatted stream. I haven't noticed any lag (black screen issues). Everything seems very responsive.
