AEW DYNAMITE RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR JUNE 7
Wait until it fades to black, ride into the sunset, would I lie to you? Well, I’ve got something to say, and I’m going to liveblog this here pro wrestling show for you, folks.
(Technical difficulties kept me from getting into the liveblog for most of the first hour but we’ve got all the action covered and rest assured, in case of further issues the show will be complete as soon as reasonably possible.)
The show opens with the intro video.
Orange Cassidy (c) vs. Shane “Swerve” Strickland (AEW International Championship)
Cassidy with his hands in his pockets, off the ropes, duck a lariat, leapfrog, back roll blocked, back elbow fights out, off the ropes, belly-to-belly, Orange rolls through! Trading pins, Orange gets the ropes but Strickland rolls into a seated armbar.
Shifting to a wristlock, Cassidy reverses to an octopus hold, bending the fingers back, Swerve escapes, blocks the satellite DDT, Orange low-bridges him to the floor! Strickland’s hands in his pocket, big chop when Cassidy goes to the floor, smashing Orange’s hand into the post!
Back inside, elbow strike to the ear, whip across, big uppercut in the corner and the challenger is in control. Back to the floor, Orange with a Frankensteiner and a suicide dive, up top, diving crossbody connects! Swerve pulls him in, right hook takes Cassidy off his feet!
Flair Flip, jockeying for position, Strickland up top, both men fall to the floor and we go to break!
Back from commercial, Cassidy with elbows, Swerve lands a boot, superkick from Orange, Beach Break fails when his back gives out but he hits the Stundog Millionaire! Strickland goes for an elbow and misses, they clash in midair and both men are down and out!
Handful of hair and right hands from Strickland, backslide for two, Orange cracks off a DDT... NOPE! Cassidy goes up top, breathing hard, Shane cuts him off... DEATH VALLEY DRIVER ON THE APRON! Back up, three superkicks from the champion, Strickland staggered... RUNNING DDT OFF THE APRON AND TO THE FLOOR!
Back inside, a diving DDT... NOT ENOUGH! Prince Nana up on the apron, Orange sidesteps and lets Strickland take care of him, Orange Punch sets it up... SWERVE KICKS OUT OF THE BEACH BREAK AND ROLLS TO THE FLOOR! Orange goes after him... STRICKLAND HITS A BRAINBUSTER ON THE FLOOR!
Back inside, sidestep the House Call, seatbelt pin, Shane kicks out! Fakeout sets up another House Call, Strickland goes up top... ORANGE CASSIDY KICKS OUT OF THE SWERVE STOMP! STRICKLAND CAN’T BELIEVE IT! Drawing Cassidy up, JML Driver reversed, reversed again, trading pins...
Orange Cassidy wins by pinfall with an O’Connor roll and a handful of tights to retain the AEW International Championship.
Post-match, Mogul Embassy hit the ring and beat Orange down— THE LIGHTS GO OUT!
THE LIGHTS COME BACK UP WITH STING AND DARBY ALLIN IN THE RING AND MOGUL EMBASSY RUNNING AWAY UP THE RAMP!
We get a video package for our main event of “Absolute” Ricky Starks vs. “Switchblade” Jay White.
“American Dragon” Bryan Danielson makes his entrance and we get a recap of his challenge to Kazuchika Okada.
Danielson joins the commentary desk and says he’s going to prove to Okada at Forbidden Door that he’s better than he ever was, and we go to break.
Blackpool Combat Club (Claudio Castagnoli, Jon Moxley, & Wheeler YUTA) vs. CHAOS (Chuck Taylor, Rocky Romero, & Trent Beretta)
CHAOS attacking as Blackpool get to the floor, Beretta hits a superplex on YUTA and we get a bell! Taylor follows it up with a piledriver... CASTAGNOLI MAKES THE SAVE! Moxley gets his licks in while referee Aubrey Edwards admonishes Claudio! The match breaks down, CHAOS clear the ring and we go to break.
Back from commercial, Blackpool in control, YUTA takes Taylor down with a German suplex but he counters a charge with a rising knee and tags Beretta in! Moxley in too, Trent takes him down with a spear, back suplex, chops and forearms, double knees from Roppongi Vice!
Hanging Jon over the ropes, missile dropkick from Romero, knee from Beretta, Mox kicks out! Trent reverses a Gotch Piledriver, Strong Zero... CLAUDIO BREAKS IT UP! Front kick into an uppercut on Chuck, Trent back body drops him to the floor, tag to Rocky.
Rolling solebutt, Shiranui blocked, flying armbar connects, Trent goes for a moonsault... SWISS DEATH CUTS HIM DOWN! Moxley reverses the armbar, bulldog choke, YUTA cuts Chuck off with a knee and elbows, Mox shifts to a sleeper...

Backstage, Adam Page and the Young Bucks cut a promo.
Next week we’re in Washington, DC where Dynamite began, and if you think Anarchy in the Arena was the end, it was only the beginning, and they want a trios rematch.
Bryan Danielson accepts the challenge and says next week will be their last live TV experience, because Blackpool will end them, and we go to break.
Back from commercial, we get a hype reel for Kenny Omega vs. Will Ospreay at Forbidden Door.
Maxwell Jacob Friedman makes his entrance and gets on the mic.
He says he nearly killed himself when he found out he was contractually obligated to show up in Colorado, because this place sucks. He says there’s no more competition for him in AEW, tells the crowd their mothers swallow, and nobody is on the level of the Devil.
Enter Adam Cole.
MJF says when CM Punk left him he thought his wrestling fandom was dead but then he flipped channels and saw a little show called Ring of Honor, and he can’t lie, he thought ROH sucked, full of indie jabronis with no right to be on his TV, and he was about to change the channel.
But then a man with slicked black hair and icy blue hair walked out, slick in the ring and perfect on the microphone, and he was genuinely, instantly hooked on Adam Cole. He watched as much Cole as he could, from CZW, to every major indie, to Florida where he shocked the system as Shawn Michaels’ handpicked guy, the best champion that promotion ever saw, and that’s undisputed.
He was a mark for Adam Cole, because he’s that good, and he followed in his footsteps, and he knew in his heart that Cole would make the jump with him to AEW and they’d have the feud of a lifetime between two generational, but then this guy showed up.
What happened? He used to be the Panama Playboy, now he’s the Panama Game Boy, sitting at home behind his computer looking like a virgin Gollum, meanwhile Britt Baker keeps leaving the house with his balls in her purse. And didn’t he used to have the physique of a world champion?
He’s so frail he makes crack whores jealous! Max says some people say it’s the company misusing Adam, but the fact is they’ve done everything possible to make him look cool while all they have to do to make MJF himself look cool is ring the bell.
Greatest dog collar match of all time, greatest Iron Man of all time, greatest four-way of all time, the best professional wrestler on god’s green earth. He’s beaten every top guy these people thought were on his level, what makes Cole think he’ll be any different.
Before he answers, Max brings up a nasty little rumor online that the reason he made the jump to this company is because a certain guy in Titan Towers didn’t think he had top guy potential. That individual’s name was Vince McMahon, and Max is a big fan, by the way.
That’s how you know the old man lost his marbles, that he didn’t see “top guy” in Adam Cole, but now that he’s toe to toe in his ring with Cole, he thinks Vince was right.
Adam asks for a microphone and responds, asking if that’s the best the great MJF has? He’s coming across like a toxic social media troll, and there’s a ton of things to comment on, but he’s gonna brush over the Britt part because she can beat the hell out of Max, but what’s his obsession with other people’s relationships?
Cole understands his fiancee left him and he can’t keep a relationship to save his life, and he thinks he’s figured it out, and that’s that MJF is a world class douchebag. And oh my god, how can we not talk about his body? Max must bring that up because of his body of work, which is untouchable.
But if you want to go down that road, how bout they both go backstage and piss in cups and we see who’s natural and who isn’t. You don’t want to do that? Thought so. He appreciates that Max studied his career but they are nothing alike, and those boys and girls in the back respect him.
He knows he’s been a bad guy in the past, but as a human being they respect him, but MJF on the other hand, he swears on his life not a single person in the back respects him, and they’d laugh in his face if he asked. MJF says he’ll ask his money about it but that’s tough talk coming from Keith Lee’s manager.
Adam says he has to create a false narrative because he’s a coward of a champion. A real champion would tell him to shut up and fight, but he’s a coward. And if Max takes one thing away from this conversation, it’s that he won’t fight him because Cole is better than him and they know it.
MJF gets pissed and screams at him that he’ll fight him any day of the week and kick his ass!
The Hardy Boyz and Isiah Kassidy are backstage to show off Ethan Page, who is now Matt Hardy’s employee.
Jeff Hardy says he’s talented and he should make the most of it. Matt demands Ethan apologize for injuring Isiah and then tells him he’s gonna make him a better man.
JungleHOOK make their entrance and LFI attack them!
JungleHOOK (HOOK & “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry) vs. La Faccion Ingobernable (Dralistico & Preston Vance) (Tornado Tag Team Match)
LFI in control, Dralistico whipping and choking Jungle Boy with a camera cord, HOOK brawling with Vance out into the crowd, both halves of the fight turn their tides and we go to break.
Back from commercial, Vance drags HOOK back to ringside with a chain but it’s HOOK who has the chain and hits a diving punch with it off the barricade! Preston gushing blood, Jungle Boy dives on him but they spin around and Vance goes into the barricade!
Dralistico off the top to take Perry out, they focus on HOOK together and put him into the barricade for a beatdown! Dragging him up on the apron, Preston chokes him with the chain... JUNGLE BOY WITH A CHAIRSHOT TO THE HEAD AND HOOK TAZPLEXES HIM OFF THE APRON AND THROUGH THE TABLE!
Perry with a DDT on a chair for Dralistico but Jose runs in and breaks it up and takes his shirt off! HOOK brings Preston in for Redrum, Jack gets Snare Trap...

Tony Khan has our Collision debut main event announcement.
He talks about how exciting things are and informs us that main event will be Jay White, Juice Robinson, and Samoa Joe against FTR and CM Punk.
Damon Ace vs. Konosuke Takeshita
Takeshita waits for Callis to give him the nod...
Konosuke Takeshita wins by pinfall with the running knee.
Post-match, Don Callis gets on the mic and shouts to be heard over the boos from the crowd. Takeshita yells at the crowd and calls Kenny Omega out in Japanese, and Callis says we may not want to hear it but he’s here to tell us the truth about Kenny Omega.
Everything Kenny has in his life is because of Don, and this is all his fault. Everything the Elite has is because of Callis, Kenny beat Will Ospreay because of him, and Omega has been like a cancer in his body, and what do you do with cancer?
You cut it out, and he and his family are going to cut the Elite out of AEW for good.
And so we go to break.
Back from commercial, Alex Marvez bangs on Christian Cage’s door to get an interview.
Cage walks out and claims he’s the uncrowned TNT Champion and Arn Anderson took something from him, so now it’s time for Christian to take something from him, and Brock got him a very nice early Father’s Day present. He and Luchasaurus walk out and reveal a bloodied Brock Anderson rolling around in pain.
Anna Jay vs. Kris Statlander (c) (AEW TBS Championship)
Statlander in control early, tossing Jay around, off the ropes, drop down, Anna bails to the floor and Kris runs into Daddy Magic at ringside for interference! Jay goes for a boot, Statlander catches it and blocks and takes her back inside for a roundhouse and a shoulder block for a nearfall!
Anna nails her in the corner and takes control and we go to break!
Back from commercial, Statlander with a powerslam for two as we see Taya Valkyrie watching backstage! Daddy Magic running interference, Jay slams her out of the corner and hits the Gory Facebuster... NOPE! Kris with a discus lariat, Anna gets the Queenslayer but Statlander powers out of it!
STO backbreaker, scooping her up...
Kris Statlander wins by pinfall with a Tombstone Piledriver to retain the AEW TBS Championship.
Commentary hypes up our next week of shows and the Outcasts cut a promo backstage and Toni Storm talks about defending her title next week against the winner of a four-way #1 contender’s match coming up.

“Switchblade” Jay White vs. “Absolute” Ricky Starks
Starks attacks White during his entrance and throws him inside for the bell! Back outside, putting Jay into the barricade a few times, running knee, break the count, looking under the ring for plunder and he decides to just flip the steel steps over!
Switchblade crawling up the ramp, waving the match off, Ricky goes after him and blasts him with a boot! Arm wringer into a knee lift, overhead elbow, White thumbs his eye and gets some separation but Starks charges him and bowls him over down the ramp!
Jay puts the steps back in place and breaks the count, Ricky slams him on the floor and we go to break!
Back from commercial, White with chops in the corner, hanging Starks up, climbing to meet him and he hits a superplex! Looking for Blade Runner, Ricky fights out with punches and eats a knee lift to set up a flying forearm! Tornado DDT sets up a folding press... NOPE!
Another cover, another nearfall, big Rock Bottom from Switchblade... STILL NO! Jockeying for position, off the ropes, Starks gets the spear and he’s fired up! Underhooks, Roshambo connects but referee Paul Turner gets clipped by White’s legs and we have no referee!
The Ass Boys slide in the ring and hit 3:10 to Yuma! Jay crawls over as Turner recovers, hooking Ricky...
