  • Cavaliers' Dean Wade: Missing first-round series

Wade (knee) is out indefinitely and won't play in the remainder of the Cavaliers' first-round playoff series against the Magic, the team announced Wednesday.

Wade hasn't taken the floor since March 8 due to a right knee sprain and will be sidelined for the remainder of the series against Orlando. In the announcement, the Cavaliers said that a recent MRI revealed that Wade would need more time for recovery and is out indefinitely. Georges Niang and Isaac Okoro should continue to see plenty of action off the bench at the forward spots.

Wade (knee) didn't practice Wednesday and will be unavailable for Thursday's Game 3 against the Magic, Evan Dammarell of FearTheSword.com reports.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Leads from deep in Game 2 win

Garland posted 15 points (5-11 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four assists, three rebounds and one steal over 32 minutes in Cleveland's 96-86 win over Orlando in Game 2 of the first-round playoff series.

Garland had a strong showing from deep in Cleveland's second straight victory to begin the series, connecting on a team-high mark from three while handing out a team-high-tying assist total and ending as one of four Cavaliers with 15 or more points. Garland has provided a nice boost for Cleveland through two games in the first round, posting at least 14 points, four assists and three rebounds in two straight outings.

Allen did it all to help Cleveland take a commanding 2-0 series lead, leading all players in Monday's contest in rebounds while pacing the Cavaliers in blocks to go along with a pair of steals in a double-double performance.
