Formula One gave fans an insight into what awaits them in Las Vegas with a sneak peak at the track via EA Sports' F1 23 video game.

The full gameplay was released on F1's YouTube channel - showing the developers' work as they went through the track.

Across a three lap race, the dev car - which started in P22 - ended up in P11 and running times in the 1:38 range.

The fastest time run by the simulation was done by Mercedes' George Russell with a 1:36.862 around the 17 corner, 6.12 km circuit.

If the game play is anything to be believed, there could be serious trouble within the short runup into Turn 1 as well as in Turns 5 and 7.

'Whether or not the track will be good for racing, it's going to look incredible,' wrote one user.

Another praised the developers for their recreation while adding, 'Bad layout by F1. It's going to be another cringe and unbearable US GP.'

A third user predicted how the race would go by saying, 'Take a look at that straight-line, now add the [Red Bull's] DRS'.
