Social media has been buzzing recently over his newfound role as a style influencer.
But Steve Harvey revealed that it is his fear of looking elderly that is the driving force for his fashionable outfits.
The 64-year-old television personality got candid about his appearance during a new episode of his Facebook Watch talk show Steve On Watch released on Thursday.

He said: 'I’m not just gonna sit over here and just let old age come and take me away. Pick me up and just walk me holding my grave.

He was joined by a group of hunky and dapperly dressed middle-aged men named who have dubbed themselves The Silver Fox Squad.
The videos of the handsome crew have gone viral on TikTok with some hitting millions of views.
The American group consists of fashionable, mostly over-50 men who hope to change the narrative around ageing for Black men.
Toward the end of the interview, Steve was gifted a very stylish brown fedora as he struck his best poses.
Founder of the the crew Irvin Randle even made Steve a member of the Silver Fox Squad and presented him with a T-Shirt with his name on the back with the rest of the members.
He later posed for a snap next to the group as they often do on their social media accounts.
Steve has caught the attention of fans in his statement-making looks and recently beame a style icon since collaborating with stylist Elly Karamoh.
The father-of-seven is currently trending for his sleek wardrobe.
Suede, leather, and silk are just some of the luxurious textures that make up the eye-popping, updated wardrobe of the longtime talk show host.
Harvey and Karamoh have been a team since January 2020, but now audiences are noticing and celebrating the fashion magic that's been sparked between the two.
Thursday morning British GQ crowned the stand-up comedian a 'style icon.'
In a slide sharing several of the Family Feud host's influential looks, the magazine wrote in the caption, 'FYI, your new style icon is Steve Harvey. Pass it on.'
Harvey reposted it on Twitter and in his Instagram Stories.
Also on Twitter, the West Virginia native's followers have been getting creative with hilarious memes featuring the star.
Social media users have taken it upon themselves to edit Harvey into an image from the wildly popular Squid Game, and draw him into outfits from Captain America and Sonic the Hedgehog.
One person even called back to his early 90s style, comparing it to the present moment in a 'how it started vs how it ended' side by side contrast.
In the former, Harvey is seen in a boxy monochrome yellow suit, while in the latter photo he's much more contemporary in a form-fitting green on green look.
The entertainment industry vet is keenly aware of fans' interest in his sartorial pursuits, as he's dedicated a corner of his website to his style.
Since embarking on their collaborative fashion journey Steve and Elly even debuted a YouTube show in September 2020 dedicated to breaking down the actor's popular style moments.
The sought-after designer has also styled Steve's wife Marjorie Harvey and daughter Lori.
