Beyoncé's Renaissance tour film release date, pre-sale tickets, teaser trailer and more

Beyoncé has announced that her Renaissance World Tour will be on the silver screen with Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé.

The five-month-long tour began in May with the film understood to be primarily featuring footage from her homecoming shows in Houston, Texas.

She is following fellow superstar Taylor Swift in releasing a concert movie, a little over a month after Taylor's announcement of her venture.

So, Beyoncé fans will be wondering when they can see the movie, and when they can get their tickets.

What is the Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé release date? 

Beyoncé has already announced the release date for Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé, and it will arrive exactly two months after her final show.

The Grammy winner rounds off the tour on October 1 in Kansas City, but is waiting until December 1 to release the movie.

She will be hoping to capitalise on the Thanksgiving festivities with the film's due date the Saturday of that weekend.

It will be wrestling with Disney's The Bikeriders - also due on December 1 - for box office success.

The film, 'accentuates the journey of Renaissance World Tour, from its inception, to the opening in Stockholm, Sweden, to the finale in Kansas City, Missouri.'

The official description adds, 'It is about Beyoncé’s intention, hard work, involvement in every aspect of the production, her creative mind and purpose to create her legacy, and master her craft.'

When are the Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé tickets available?

Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé has already started to sell tickets, with the film to be distributed globally by AMC Entertainment.

AMC moviegoers can purchase tickets for all US AMC locations and can also find tickets at Cinemark, Regal, Cinepolis and Cineplex.

Prices start at $22 plus tax in the US, with Canada and Mexico also confirmed to be showing the film in cinemas. Other global hosts are to be announced later.

Beyoncé will be hoping for similar success to Taylor Swift with her film, as Deadline reported the latter expects an opening of roughly $100 million.

And the Renaissance tour has already enjoyed record-braking success as 'the highest grossing tour by a woman in the Boxscore archives' according to Billboard.

The estimate that the shows have grossed $461.3m. 

Is there a trailer for Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé?

Just one day after the concert film was announced, a first trailer dropped on her YouTube channel.

The trailer begins with a shot of Beyoncé arriving at one of her tour venues, flashing a peace sign to the cameras.

'When I am performing, I am nothing but free,' she says in voice over, as we see shots of her getting ready for a performance including her giving a kiss to her son Sir.

It documents the full range of her diverse audience and gives glimpses of a host of her vast array of outfits.

The trailer ends with the singer asked, 'What do you think about this tour?' She answers, 'I feel liberated. I have transitioned into a new animal.'
