Gwyneth Paltrow raves about ex Chris Martin's longtime partner Dakota Johnson and shares how she keeps friendships with celebs like Jennifer Aniston so strong

Gwyneth Paltrow opened up on a variety of topics with an AMA on her Instagram story on Thursday.

Some of the 51-year-old actress' 8.4 million followers sent in questions on Thursday, and she answered several of them either through videos, photos or text.

One fan asked about her relationship with Dakota Johnson, the actress who has been with Paltrow's ex, Coldplay singer Chris Martin, since 2017.

The question came just as both Johnson and Martin were spotted together celebrating Johnson's 34th birthday on Thursday evening.

Another fan also asked if she was fans with Jennifer Aniston, answering by sharing a photo of the two together.

She also opened up about how she keeps her friendships strong with A-listers like Aniston and others.

When asked about Johnson, Paltrow said, 'We're actually very good friends. I love her so much. She's an adorable, wonderful person.'

The second to last question of the AMA was, 'Are you friends with Jennifer Aniston?' and Paltrow responded by sharing a snap of Aniston in a white dress giving Paltrow a kiss on the cheek.

'Yes I am so lucky,' Paltrow captioned the snap.

She was also asked, 'How do you manage to truly love so many friends?' which Paltrow said was, 'such a sweet question.'

'I have the best friends in the world and I really do make it a priority to nurture those friendships, because they fill me up so much,' Paltrow began.

'I also think it's something I really get from my dad. My dad loved his friends and his relationships, his children, his wife and showed me an example of putting real time in just with the most open, loving heart imaginable,' she added.

'I got it from Bruce Paltrow, and I'm discerning about who I'm friends with but there are a lot of great people in the world, so I'm friends with a lot of them,' she said.

The actress is also a mother of two with her ex Chris Martin - 19-year-old Apple and 17-year-old Moses, and she revealed her best advice for mothers.

'Definitely my best parenting advice, and I say this all the time, is mother knows best,' Paltrow began.

'Trust your instincts. If you have any questions about this food, that food, anything, I really believe that you know the answer implicitly and just trust your instincts,' she said. 

She also shared a photo of her with husband Brad Falchuk, when asked, 'Any tips for building a romantic relationship with Pisces?' She replied, 'Let them have their quiet time.'
