The Community Day is a monthly event in Pokemon Go that focuses on a specific Pokemon, with boosted wild spawns, increased Shiny chances, exclusive moves when evolved, and bonuses like extended Incense duration.
Community Days now last for three hours and always take place on the weekend so that most players can get involved. They’re some of the most popular events in the Pokemon Go Calendar, alongside Spotlight Hours.

Pokemon Go April Community Day date & time
The April 2024 Pokemon Go Community Day event takes place on Saturday, April 20 2024, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time.
Pokemon Go April Community Day Headliner
The headliner for the April 2024 Community Day is Bellsprout.
Boosted Shiny odds for Bellsprout
During the April Community Day, you’ll have an increased chance of encountering Shiny Bellsprout either in the wild or as a reward for Research tasks.
Pokemon Go Bellsprout Community Day exclusive moves
Players who evolve a Weepinbell during event hours (or up to five hours after) will get a Victreebel that knows the Grass-type Quick Move Magical Leaf. This attack has 10 power in trainer battles and 16 power when fighting Gyms or Raids.
Pokemon Go April Community Day bonuses
The following bonuses will be in effect during April Community Day event hours:
- 3x Stardust for catching Pokemon
- 2x Candy for catching Pokemon
- 2x Candy XL chance
- Lure Modules & Incense will last three hours
- Snapshot surprise
- One extra Special Trade during the event*
- Trades will require 50% less Stardust.*
Bonuses marked with * will be active from 2 pm through 10 pm local time
Weepinbell appears in 4-Star Raids after Community Day ends
Although the April Community Day ends at 5 PM, trainers can enjoy special 4-Star Raid Battles with Weepinbell until 10 PM.
If you win one of these Raid Battles, additional Bellsprout will appear around the Gym that hosted the Raid for the next 30 minutes.
Be aware that these bonus 4-Star Raid Battles cannot be accessed with Remote Raid Passes, so you must attend them in person.
How to prepare for Pokemon Go Bellsprout Community Day
If you’re going to take part in a Community Day, there are a few things you can do to prepare and get the most out of the event:
- Purchase Incense to use on the day as they will last longer than usual.
- Save any Lure Modules you have, as they will last for three hours during the event.
- Stock up on lots of Ultra Balls so you can catch plenty of the headline Pokemon.
- Transfer any unwanted Pokemon in advance so you’ll have space for all the catching you’ll do.
- Check the bonuses that run during the event so you can take advantage of them.
There will also be a ticket for the April Community Day Special Research story available to purchase from the in-game shop closer to the event date.

There will also be a set of event-exclusive Field Research tasks with rewards, including Bellsprout encounters, Stardust, Great Balls, and more.
