Lewis Hamilton is synonymous with speed, skill, and determination. The man behind the wheel is not just a seven-time F1 champion, he’s a legend, a trailblazer in his field, and a physical marvel whose daily regimen could exhaust an Olympic athlete. And Hamilton’s journey to becoming one of the greatest drivers of all time has been no walk in the park. A staggering six-hour-a-day training schedule has been his steadfast companion, along with a commitment to a plant-based diet.

From Pilates to deadlifts, sprints to crunches, Hamilton’s intense regimen, has sculpted his body into peak physical fitness. He’s even fine-tuned his diet, embracing the greens, fruits, and nuts of the earth, taking a leap of faith into veganism that has left him, by his own admission, in better shape at 38 than he was at 25. His fondness for running is manifest in the regular clips he shares on social media, showcasing his commitment to both the racetrack and the open road. But, despite the plant-powered passion and adrenaline-fueled exercises, something doesn’t add up. As there’s a mystery lurking behind the speedometer.

In recent revelations from The Race podcast on Spotify, a surprising aspect of Hamilton’s physical challenges has surfaced. In their own words, “Lewis Hamilton, although obviously he is one of these elite drivers, you do occasionally get examples of him coming on the radio during a race sounding out of breath, so there must be situations and certain circuits that are so physically demanding and the prevailing conditions perhaps so demanding that even he’s running at an oxygen deficit sometimes.” Is the man who has defied gravity and broken barriers encountering a wall when it comes to his age and physical endurance?

Hamilton’s impressive six-pack is a testament to his commitment and hard work. But as they say, there is more to the story than meets the eye. Lewis Hamilton may look and feel as young and fit as ever, but this unexpected revelation sheds light on the prevailing conditions that might push even the likes of Hamilton to their physiological limits.

Hamilton’s decision was detailed in the F1: Chequered Flag podcast, where he reflected, “I’ve generally been in a very good place. I didn’t drink for like 5 months. Also, since the new year, I didn’t drink five months into the year. I’ve only had two occasions but I don’t really drink much anyways – but I’m stopping again.”
