The BMW X1 is offered with the signature kidney shaped radiator grille, LED headlamps with LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lamps), cornering lights and adaptive light distribution. The rear LED tail lights have a 3D design. It also has rain sensor and automatic driving lights. The ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors) come with an automatic anti-dazzle, parking function and can be electrically adjusted or folded. The twin exhaust tail pipe has a chrome finish.
The BMW X1 is offered with electrically adjustable seats that are covered in leather upholstery. It also has a 2-zone automatic climate control, anti-dazzle function on the IRVM (Interior Rear View Mirror) and ambient lighting with a light package. The luggage compartment has an overall capacity of 420 litres.
The BMW X1 is available with one engine option, a 1,995cc BMW TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder diesel engine. It generates 190 hp of power at 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm of torque between 1,750 rpm and 2,500 rpm. The engine has been tuned for the best balance between performance and fuel efficiency.
The BMW X1 is offeredwith an 8 speed Steptronic automatic ‘Sport’ transmission with Launch control and paddle shifters. The transmission offers smooth gear changes and the well tuned ratios offer a good balance between fuel efficiency and performance.
In terms of safety, BMW X1 comes with DSC (Dynamic Stability Control), CBC (Corner Braking Control), ABS (Anti lock Braking System) with brake assist and airbags. It also has an electronic vehicle immobiliser and crash sensor along with side impact protection and runflat tyres with reinforced side walls.
