It's a full-circle moment for Johansson, who first appeared in the 1995 movie adaptation.
The "Black Widow" star is mimicked in a commercial that uses a snippet of her MCU character's audio.
While Coppola acknowledges that cultural norms have changed in the 20 years since "Lost in Translation" was released, she still doesn't see the film's story as anything scandalous.
"It was one of the worst screenings I’ve attended," Venice Film Festival director Alberto Barbera said.
"I had to be in, like, the full whole space suit thing, and sort of pretend I was kind of like floating in space," Johansson said of auditioning for the role she lost to Sandra Bullock.
Johansson was so excited to work with Wes Anderson again that she was willing to show up on set eight weeks after giving birth.
"It was sort of the straw that broke the camel’s back," Johansson said of losing out on Alfonso Cuarón's 2013 space drama. "Like, ‘Am I doing the right job?'"
"I can’t. My ego is too fragile. I can’t deal with it."
