Clogged pores can obviously lead to breakouts, but they can also look bumpy and enlarged, so skin just isn’t as smooth-looking as it could be. However, one TikToker recently went viral for sharing exactly how she unclogs her pores. So what’s her trick? Exfoliate often and use a good oil cleanser, like the ROHTO Hadalabo Gokujun Cleansing Oil.

More than 2,300 Amazon shoppers give the ROHTO Hadalabo Gokujun Cleansing Oil a five-star rating for removing makeup, sunscreen and excess oil. And if you want to try it, for a limited time, you can get it on sale for about $15.

If you suffer from oily skin, it may seem counterintuitive to put more oil on it — but listen up. Washing your face with oil can counter your natural oils (along with makeup, sunscreen, dirt, excess sebum and other impurities) and rinse them away. “Oil cleansing gently dissolves makeup and dirt, all while adding needed moisture to the skin, improving overall skin tone and saturating pores with anti-aging antioxidants,” a blog on Dermstore’s site explains.

The ROHTO Hadalabo Gokujun Cleansing Oil comes from Japan and contains high-purity olive oil. To use, first apply it to dry skin. Then, gently rub the oil all over your face for about one minute. Finally, rinse it off with warm water and pat your face dry. If you want to, you can also double cleanse, meaning you can wash your face again with another gentle cleanser.

Double cleansing is a popular K-beauty trend that recently gained traction in the U.S. The idea is that you use an oil cleanser first to dissolve makeup, followed by a gentle cleanser to remove things like pollutants.

I’m blown away by this product,” one Amazon reviewer wrote about the cleanser. “I have very sensitive combination skin and this works very well for me… I wear loads of waterproof mascara and it takes it right off! After, give your face a good rinse and it does not leave oily residue at all. And [as an] added bonus, my face looks brighter and plumped up as if I got a moisturizing facial.”

“This cleanser seems to clean out my pores like nothing else. I always make sure to never run out of this!” wrote another reviewer, who actually said they bought the oil cleanser after dermatologist Dr. Dray recommended it on YouTube.

The ROHTO Hadalabo Gokujun Cleansing Oil regularly retails for $18.99, but right now, you can get it for $14.49. Sure, it’s not a huge discount, but there’s no reason to pay full price if you don’t have to.
