I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Sir Ivan Menezes. On behalf of the Pernod Ricard Board, Executive Committee and all our employees, I would like to extend our deepest sympathies to his family and all his colleagues at Diageo. Ivan was one of the first people to call me personally when I was appointed as Chairman and CEO of Pernod Ricard, a gesture I have always remembered. In a competitive business world Ivan remained a profoundly genuine and authentic person. May he rest in peace.
“When you arise in the morning think of what a privilege it is to be alive, to think, to enjoy, to love… Live a good life. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones.”~ Marcus Aurelius 🕊️Rest in Peace Sir Ivan 🙏🏽🕊️
Had met only once but with a pleasent smile may his soul rest in peace 🙏
I recall with fondness Ivan and Shibani Menezes at an intimate dinner we shared just after Ivan’s ascension to the top of the Diageo juggernaut. Thoughtful, intelligent, and polite are but three impressions I came away with about him. A lovely man, a visionary executive. The beverage industry is much the lesser today.
Such incredibly sad news, there truly are no words. Ivan will long be remembered as one of those unique individuals who could be a transformative leader all while being a kind and caring person to everyone he encountered. Ivan was one of a kind and I will miss him.
too young to die 😔
Ivan was probably among the few humane top senior management and CEO's at Diageo . May his soul rest in peace and may God provide comfort to his family in this loss
