I bought Tlou2 at release and never got around to playing it as I was not in the mood for it… finally downloaded it last week and honestly thought we had a ps5 version already.

Remaster did well for PS5 to coincide with the show just like this will for Season 2 of the show.
That and it's not like it will take a huge team and such to make
Its probably just a native PS5 port, and the person got the naming wrong.
I'm looking forward to The Last of Us Part 1 Remastered Edition personally,
Unless there's some new SP content similar to GoT, not a lot of reason to get this since I already have the PS4 version and looks and runs well

Yep, my guess as well. Probably the classic native PS5 app and PC port combo.
That's two years longer than The Last of Us OG lol 2013 release on PS3, Remastered on PS4 release in 2014.
They're callin em remasters Ton, apparently, you can re-release a game from a few years with a few improvements and sell it for full price again. We need to get in on it.
They have probably just dropped the "directors cut" branding as people cried over it.
Sony is releasing some of its older games on PC ~ 3 years after the PlayStation console release.
Might as well bring it to PS5 as well.
Honestly, it's weird we didn't get a PS5 update/remaster almost immediately, so it's about time.
We did get a PS5 update, but just a 60fps update, no haptic or improved visuals or anything.
