Taylor Swift dance parties, tailgates and more around Tampa Bay

The Tampa run of Taylor Swift’s Eras tour is almost here. Are you ready for it?

Maybe you didn’t get tickets but want to celebrate anyway. Or perhaps you’re looking for a before- or after-party. There are plenty of social events to choose from, even weeks after the main event.

From parties to “tay-gates,” here are our top picks:

Le Petite Fete’s Tay-Gates Meet-Up in Tampa

These pre-show dance parties are open to all ages, but an adult must accompany guests under 18. Have an elaborate outfit you’ve spent weeks crafting? There will be costume contests and themed photo areas, offering the perfect place to show off.

When: 1 to 4 p.m. April 13 and 15

Location: Two Shepherds Taproom, 4813 N Grady Ave., Tampa

Swift on the WTR pool party

Celebrate Tay-Tay poolside at this 21+ party that features Las Vegas-based DJ Stellar mixing pop hits, swag giveaways and raffles for cabana rentals, Eras Tour shirts and hotel stays.

When: Noon to 7 p.m. April 14

Location: WTR Pool at the Godfrey Hotel & Cabanas, 7700 West Courtney Campbell Causeway, Tampa

Cost: Free, but reservations are required for cabanas and other seating is first come first served.

Taylor Swift Night Tampa: Eras Unofficial Pre-Tour DJ Dance Party

This high-energy dance party will last over four hours as DJ Chey spins every song off “Midnights,” plus hits from each of Taylor’s other eras. The event includes contests, giveaways and photo opportunities.

When: 9 p.m. April 14

Location: Pegasus Lounge, 14811 N Florida Ave., Tampa

Cost: $12 plus fees. Purchase via Eventbrite.

Sorry You Missed Taylor parties

No concert tickets? No problem. “Your wildest dreams are coming true at the Floridian Social as we enchant the room with the sounds of Taylor Swift for an epic dance party featuring DJ Chrystaline Gold,” the historic downtown St. Petersburg club has posted.

It will also have a signature Taylor Swift “Glitter” cocktail, free glitter bar makeup artist Megan Locke. a friendship bracelet making station, a Wings Mural and a Kiss Wall.

When: 7-11 p.m. April 14 and 15

Location: Floridian Social Club, 687 Central Ave. N, St. Petersburg

Swiftie Sips at Kahwa

The Tampa Bay coffee shops have a Taylor Swift specialty line of coffees called Lavender Haze (a beverage that combines matcha and lavender to create a floral yet sweet taste) and Midnight Run (a sweet coffee beverage with mild blueberry flavor and sweet white mocha) that you can find in the shops across the bay area from April 7-16.

Proceeds from the drinks will benefit CASA programs to end domestic violence. Find a location near you at kahwacoffee.com.

Candlelight: A Tribute to Taylor Swift

Listen to Swift’s biggest hits played by the Listeso String Quartet in a dreamy, candlelit setting. The tentative set list for the 65 minute-show includes “Lavender Haze,” “Love Story,” “Cardigan,” “Blank Space” and “Enchanted.” The shows are open to guests 8 and older, though anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

In Tampa: Centro Asturiano de Tampa is hosting the performances at 6:30 and 9 p.m. April 28. Book via Fever.

In St. Petersburg: Candlelight: A Tribute to Taylor Swift takes place at the Birchwood at 6:30 and 9 p.m. May 18. Book via Fever.

Cost: $45-$55, plus fees.

Lavender Haze Ball

This all-ages event is a “passion project curated for Swifties by Swifties.” It includes 10 Taylor-themed cocktails (or mocktails) to represent 10 different eras. There will also be a Polaroid photo booth.

“As many of us didn’t survive the great war that was getting tickets to the Eras tour, I decided that it was only right to curate an event for us to dance in our nicest dresses and create friendships that will last forevermore,” the event description reads.

When: 7 to 11 p.m. July 15

Location: Floridian Social Club, 510 Water St., Tampa

Cost: General admission is $50. VIP is $80 and includes early entry, a goodie bag with Lavender Haze Ball merchandise, special VIP seating, charcuterie and a five-drink punch card. Fees are not included. Book via Eventbrite.
