Liverpool have agreed to sell Sadio Mané to Bayern Munich for an initial fee of £27.5 million which could rise to £35.1 million.
The transfer was thrashed out following face-to-face talks between the two clubs. Bayern’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic headed a delegation from the German club which arrived in the northwest to resume negotiations with counterpart Julian Ward, who had previously rejected two bids.
An agreement has been reached on a guaranteed fee of £27.5 million [€32 million], plus £5 million based on appearances and £2.6 million based on individual and team achievements.
The total package is worth £35.1 million [€41 million] and would outstrip the £33.5 million Liverpool paid Southampton for Mané six years ago. It also represents a significant improvement on Bayern’s
