'The Voice': Camila Cabello says she's 'going home' during Battle Rounds elimination

The competition is heating up on “The Voice,” and Camila Cabello is starting to feel the pressure.

During the third round of the Battle Rounds Tuesday night, Team Camila singers Eric Who and Sydney Kronmiller captivated the coaches with their haunting, torch-song rendition of Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi.”

Coach Blake Shelton praised the individuality of Kronmiller’s tone.

“Your voice was shocking, and if it came on the radio, I’d turn it up,” Shelton said.

Cabello was impressed with Who’s burgeoning star power. “I saw you really grow as an artist and step into somebody that I’m really excited to hear on the radio (and) see perform in shows,” Cabello said.

But Cabello appeared to buckle under the stress of sending one of her singers home. “This is really, really hard,” she said. “I’m going home.”

Who’s undeniable stage presence earned Cabello’s confidence, with the coach declaring the 22-year-old the battle’s winner.

“I chose Eric because he’s just too captivating,” Cabello said. “I’m curious to see how he evolves, and I just want to keep watching him.”

Here’s what else went down during Tuesday’s episode.

Blake Shelton vouches for teen singer with 'star quality'

Team Blake singers Brayden Lape and Benny Weag brought the country twang with their heartfelt cover of “Pretty Heart” by Parker McCollum.

Cabello gushed over the youthfulness of Lape’s voice.

“You have a beautiful tone,” Cabello told the 15-year-old singer. “I love that crack that you have in your voice. It is very pop record-friendly.”

And while his delivery could use some polish, Weag earned kudos from coach John Legend for the strength of his vocal chops.

“I love the tone of your voice. It just sounds confident and assured,” Legend said. “Sometimes you push a little too much, which can take away from the beauty of your voice, which is really great.”

In the end, Shelton chose Lape as the winner, inspired by the teen vocalist’s charisma.

“Brayden’s just got all this potential and star quality about what he does and just who he is,” Shelton said. “He’s starting to find his feet, and as he gets comfortable in this situation, sky’s going to be the limit.”

John Legend holds onto ‘compelling’ sister duo

Parijita Bastola and sister duo The Marilynds made for a soulful trio with their warm cover of “How Deep Is Your Love” by the Bee Gees.

Coach Gwen Stefani complimented Bastola’s vibrant stage presence and old-soul vocal style.

“Your personality was coming out, and it was really beautiful,” Stefani told the 17-year-old singer. “It reminds me a lot of a ‘70s singer-songwriter voice.”

Legend was floored by The Marilynds’ sibling synchronicity, praising the seamlessness of their dual vocal delivery.

Legend hit his “save” button during the third round of the Battle Rounds Tuesday night to keep sister country duo The Marilynds on his team.

“You all just leaned into those harmonies. It was flawless,” Legend said. “The quality of your execution today was just really, really strong.”

And their strong execution paid off. Although Bastola was declared the battle’s winner, Legend hit his “save” button to keep The Marilynds on his team.

“The Marilynds deserve to be saved, and I think they have something special to offer this competition,” Legend said. “They’re a very compelling group, and I think their lane of country pop is unique on my team.”
