Jacksonville Jaguars at Cleveland Browns: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 14 game

Quarterback play with be at the center of attention in Cleveland on Sunday when the Cleveland Browns (7-5) host the Jacksonville Jaguars (8-4).

What was turning into a promising season has suddenly gotten murky after Trevor Lawrence's injury in Jacksonville's loss to Cincinnati on "Monday Night Football." The health of their franchise quarterback will certainly be what fans will be looking for all week as Indianapolis and Houston lurk in the standings.

The issues at quarterback continue to hurt the Browns, as Joe Flacco wasn't able to pull Cleveland out of Los Angeles with a win against the Rams. The fourth quarter doomed Cleveland, and with back-to-back losses in their last two games, the Browns are in big need of a win if they want to keep their spot in the playoff race.

Lorenzo Reyes: Browns 17, Jaguars 16

Cleveland has a superb defense, but with Trevor Lawrence likely sidelined — and with the Browns having their own quarterback situation up in the air — I would stay away from this altogether. But as things stand now, I’ll very cautiously take the Jags to cover the spread.

Tyler Dragon: Browns 20, Jaguars 16

Trevor Lawrence’s status for Week 14 is uncertain. High ankle sprains typically keep players sidelined for a few weeks. Lawrence won’t be 100% even if he does play. The Browns have lost two straight on the road and their defense hasn’t been the same away from Cleveland. The Browns are going to need their No. 1 ranked defense to perform this week at home to beat a banged-up Jags squad.

Victoria Hernandez: Jaguars 20, Browns 17

The Browns' defense is still ranked first in the league, but allowed 36 points last week in a loss to the Rams, the second-highest by an opponent this season. With Myles Garrett dealing with injury and Joe Flacco’s poor performance leaving a question mark at quarterback, Cleveland is struggling. Trevor Lawrence’s ankle is a major concern for Jacksonville, but the Jaguars thrive on the road and will pounce on a wounded Cleveland.

Jordan Mendoza: Browns 20, Jaguars 16

This game will obviously depend on Trevor Lawrence's health, but even if he does suit up, it doesn't seem like he'll be the same player on the field. Cleveland's defense is badly in need of a good game, and at home, they put the clamps down to get the win, regardless of who is at quarterback for them.
