Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Atlanta Falcons: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 14 game

The NFC South remains wide open, and first place will be on the line Sunday when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-7) visit the Atlanta Falcons (6-6).

Mike Evans showed once again why he's one of the best receivers in the NFL, as he topped 1,000 receiving yards on the season for the 10th straight year in a win against the Carolina Panthers. Tampa Bay was expected to win, but it was still a much needed victory to stay within a game of the division lead.

It was far from pretty, but the Falcons were able to benefit from the lackluster play of the New York Jets offense to get back to .500. Now not only does Atlanta have a chance to win a third-straight game, but a win over Tampa Bay would give them the season sweep and give themselves another tiebreaker in a tight division.

Lorenzo Reyes: Falcons 21, Buccaneers 16

The NFC South has been weird all season long, so I would frankly avoid this game, as both teams have been fairly inconsistent. That said, Atlanta has an advantage in speed and offensive talent, so I am tentatively backing them in this spot. But with plenty on the line, the Buccaneers could very easily play spoiler.

Tyler Dragon: Falcons 21, Buccaneers 20

Atlanta beat the Bucs in Tampa in Week 7. The Falcons could give themselves a little breathing from on top of the NFC South if they pull off the season sweep. Bucs WR Mike Evans is the first player in league history with at least 1,000 receiving yards in each of his first 10 career seasons.

Safid Deen: Falcons 23, Buccaneers 20

You never know which Falcons offense will show up but the Falcons defense has improved significantly this season. You could say the same about Tampa Bay’s offense, but not their defense. I’ll take Atlanta at home.

Victoria Hernandez: Falcons 20, Buccaneers 16

The Buccaneers had a solid win with a historic day from Mike Evans last week, but we’ve seen that beating the Panthers doesn’t necessarily translate into momentum. The Falcons have pieced together some scrappy wins and should be able to pull off another one at home.

Jordan Mendoza: Falcons 19, Buccaneers 17

The first meeting between these two went down to the final play and you can expect this one to be another one that comes down to the final minutes. While Tampa Bay had a good game against Carolina, Atlanta slowly seems to be figuring out how to utilize the weapons they have. The Falcons win a close one for their third-straight victory.
