Inside Taylor Hill’s Western-Inspired Wedding Set Amid the Colorado Rockies

Taylor also shared that she couldn’t believe it was the first custom wedding gown the house has created. “That made it all the more magical, and we worked so closely together which meant the world to me,” she says. “Etro literally took everything that was in my brain and transformed it into reality. The gown is truly the dress of my dreams. It is elegant, but gives a nod to boho with its stunning material, movement, and beading.”

As for jewelry, there was no question in Taylor’s mind: She knew from the start of the styling process that she wanted to wear David Yurman. “I have a continued relationship with the family brand and their collection was the perfect compliment to my custom Etro dress,” she explains. Meanwhile, for glam, Danielle Priano was on hair and Carolina Gonzalez created the bride’s beauty look.

The groom, who was born in London, raised in Geneva, and attended boarding school at Eton College, sported the traditional British morning suit he wore as a student, tailored by New & Lingwood. “There’s an old Eton tradition that says you’re supposed to wear the same tailcoat on your wedding day,” Taylor explains. The bridesmaids all wore custom Reformation gowns, while the man of honor was in a custom tuxedo from Suitsupply.

The bride’s grandfather Reverend Stanley Tate served as the officiant. “Before the ceremony, I was extremely nervous and also so excited at the same time,” Taylor recalls. “But once I walked out onto the aisle and saw Danny for the first time a sense of complete calm washed over me, and it was like nothing else mattered. He was all I could see, and it was such a special beautiful moment we got to share with all the people we love.”

After the ceremony, the newlyweds took family photos before joining guests for cocktails and British Pimm’s cups. “Danny and I started our love story at JazzFest in Aspen in 2019, and John Mayer played that year,” Taylor notes. “He notoriously covers Tom Petty’s ‘Free Falling,’ so we chose that as our first dance song.”

During dinner, there were heartfelt speeches given by family, and the couple was serenaded by their band, Stevie Brock and Dream On, before their friend Chloe Stroll James sang a few of their favorite songs. “We originally heard Stevie in Nashville, and we immediately knew we wanted him to be our wedding band.”

After dinner, the dance floor opened up, and it was packed until around 11 p.m. Eventually, guests made their way to an after-party that went until the early hours of the morning and ended with Chloe singing on top of the bar. “Danny and I left the party pretty late, but we weren’t the last ones standing,” Taylor admits. “We wanted to [end our wedding night] walking around outside and looking at the stars, like we did when we first started falling in love.”

“Now that it’s all over, we feel a wonderful sense of relief and accomplishment,” Taylor continues. “The wedding weekend was so fun and special because we got to do it in my hometown while also adding touches of Danny’s English heritage, which was important to both of us. Planning a wedding is a lot of work—but by the end of the weekend, it was all worth it.”
