TAMPA — NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said Thursday that attorney Beth Wilkinson is “nearing the completion” of her investigation into the Washington Football Team over allegations of sexual harassment and mistreatment of female employees.

Goodell also said he is “hopeful” that the dispute between principal owner Daniel Snyder and minority shareholders Dwight Schar, Fred Smith and Robert Rothman “will get resolved shortly” as Snyder’s three partners attempt to sell their approximately 40 percent interest in the franchise amid contentiousness that has spilled into arbitration and a legal clash.
