The Kansas City Chiefs remain the team to beat in the AFC West. They made that clear Thursday night in Kansas City, Mo., as they rallied to overcome the Los Angeles Chargers, 27-24, in a rugged game at Arrowhead Stadium that marked the beginning of the NFL’s streaming gamble on Amazon.

But what was already a bad night for the Chargers could turn out to be far worse, if the injury suffered by third-year quarterback Justin Herbert keeps him sidelined for more than the one play he missed Thursday.
