New video shows the moments New Hampshire Rep. Annie Kuster, who was one of several members of Congress, being evacuated from the House Chambers on Jan. 6, 2021.Just 30 seconds later, some of the crowd made it inside, walking right by the door where, behind it, members of Congress were just hiding. "And what I think about every day is what would have happened to our democracy if a group of members of Congress were either killed or taken hostage," Kuster said.She said, remembering those moments, saying that just two minutes later, more from the crowd outside showed up in that hallway. "Would they have just torn us limb from limb? I mean, if you look at the frenzy of the crowd, the adrenaline, the rage," Kuster said.The video release is coming 19 days before the New Hampshire Primary, and with the election top of mind, Kuster is encouraging Granite Staters to remember the importance of democracy, no matter who you vote for."And whether you write in Joe Biden as your candidate or whether you're voting for Nikki Haley or Chris Christie, my perspective is we cannot afford to have an insurrectionist as president of the United States," Kuster said.Six Granite Staters have been either arrested, charged or convicted for their roles in the attack.
