BamBam performs at halftime between the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers

BamBam from the South Korean boy band Got7 performed during halftime of the game between the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers at the Chase Center on Thursday night.

This is the same BamBam who may have been responsible for getting Warriors forward Andrew Wiggins into the starting lineup for the 2022 NBA All-Star Game.

On Jan. 7, BamBam, who is a Warriors global ambassador, posted on his Instagram that he was “very honored to be named as the Golden State Warriors’ Global Ambassador.” He added, “I will do my best engaging with GSW and all the fans throughout the season in 2022. Please keep showing our support to the greatest GSW players!”

The K-Pop star, who has 15 million Instagram followers and 9.4 million Twitter followers, then cast his All-Star vote for Wiggins via tweet, referring to him as one of the “best two-way players” in the league. Wiggins ended up with 2,644,571 votes, earning him a spot in the starting lineup for the Western Conference.

Unfortunately, most fans used the halftime opportunity either to grab refreshments or to use the restroom, as the stands looked awfully empty. Perhaps the team should have reminded them what BamBam did for Wiggins.

The Warriors beat the Lakers 128-112. Stephen Curry of the Warriors, and LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook of the Lakers didn’t play.
