A new era of Ring of Honor is upon under the ownership of AEW head honcho Tony Khan. Supercard of Honor features Friday night (April 1, 2022) fun with a world title unification main event, a tag team dream match, Chavo Guerrero and Tully Blanchard managing new clients, Murder Grandpa, and more. Plus, who knows what surprises are up Khan’s sleeve for the PPV.

Pre-show
Ian Riccaboni and Caprice Coleman called the action on commentary.
Colt Cabana defeated Blake Christian. Colt hammed it up to the crowd’s enjoyment. Christian placed Cabana seated on the turnbuckles for a springboard maneuver, but Boom Boom caught him for the Chicago Skyline to win.
AQA defeated Miranda Alize. AQA escaped a crossface submission then unloaded various kicks to the head. AQA closed with a shooting star press to win.
Tully Blanchard announced Kaun & Toa Liona as the newest members of Tully Blanchard Enterprises.
Gates of Agony (Kaun & Toa Liona) defeated Shinobi Shadow Squad (Cheeseburger & Eli Isom). Powerful domination. Kaun crushed Isom with a fireman’s carry gutbuster, then Toa hit a thumb spike chokeslam maneuver to pin Isom.
Blanchard teased that we will see the third member of TBE later in the show, and we won’t be any less entertained.
Dalton Castle defeated Joe Hendry. Former tag partners clashed. Castle had the crowd support with his baby chicks, while Hendry’s attitude earned boos. Hendry had control with hefty slams, but Castle rallied with the Bang-A-Rang for victory.
Chavo Guerrero is here to help Bandido keep the ROH world title by any means necessary. Bandido asked that Chavo doesn’t cheat. Chavo promised not to cheat.
PPV
Swerve Strickland defeated Alex Zayne. Zayne hit a poison rana off the apron down to the floor then a shooting star press knee drop back inside the ring. Swerve kicked out on the cover. Swerve attacked the knee to slow down Zayne. Swerve was in control for a rolling flatliner then flying double stomp. Zayne kicked out. After a back and forth exchange, Swerve stomped the knee and executed a JML Driver for victory.
Tully Blanchard introduced Brian Cage as the next member of Tully Blanchard Enterprises. (Full details here.)
Brian Cage defeated Ninja Mack. The Machine wrecked the masked man with strongman moves. Ninja landed a pair of spinning kicks. Cage caught the third to plant Ninja down to the mat and finish with the Drill Claw.
Jay Lethal defeated Lee Moriarty. Matt Sydal was ringside on crutches to support Moriarty. A furious chain wrestling sequence with a variety of roll-ups kicked up the apron into the ring. As the referee was fixing it, Lethal landed a blatant low blow to Moriarty. He finished with the Lethal Injection cutter. Commentary put over Lethal being visibly ashamed at his desperate tactics in story continuation for his frustration at losing to cheaters in AEW. Sydal angrily gabbed in Lethal’s face, so Lethal kicked out the crutches and pounded punches. Sonjay Dutt ran in to break it up.
Interim ROH World Women’s Championship: Mercedes Martinez defeated Willow Nightingale. Both women survived finishers. Willow kicked out of the OG Drop, and Martinez kicked out of a moonsault. Willow had momentum, but Martinez escaped a gutwrench for a drop toehold leading into a dragon sleeper variation to win. Martinez will face champ Deonna Purrazzo at a later date.
ROH World Tag Team Championship: FTR defeated Briscoes. (Full details here.) Excellent bout living up to expectations. Briscoes went for Doomsday Device but missed the mark. FTR pounced for a Big Rig to pin Mark and become new ROH tag champs.
Young Bucks! FTR and the Briscoes buried the bad blood for the Code of Honor handshake. After FTR exited, the fans showered the Briscoes with cheers. Out of nowhere, the Bucks ran in for a superkick party and a BTE Trigger. FTR ran back out for the save and set up FTR vs. Bucks on AEW Dynamite for Wednesday night.
ROH World TV Championship: Minoru Suzuki defeated Rhett Titus. This bout was a quick, hard-hitting affair leading to Suzuki hitting a Gotch piledriver to win gold.
ROH Pure Championship: Wheeler Yuta defeated Josh Woods. Pure rules in effect. Yuta used his first rope break early on a leg submission. Yuta’s second rope break came on a wrist lock submission. Yuta fired up to slap Woods across the face. The challenger locked in a bridging leg submission forcing Woods to use his first rope break. Woods stepped up his game with a spiral sulex into the corner. On the cover, Yuta put his foot on the ropes for his third and final rope break. Yuta sensed the dire situation and used his craftiness to pull an upset. Yuta escaped a tombstone position to roll under and land furious elbow strikes to the collarbone. Yuta transitioned for a tricky pinfall to become the new Pure champ.
