Taylor Swift’s Cornelia Street townhouse hits the rental market at $45K a month

Taylor Swift‘s iconic Cornelia Street townhouse has hit the rental market for an eye-watering $45,000 a month.

Located in West Village, the brick home was rented by Taylor, 32, when she first started dating her long-term boyfriend Joe Alwyn in 2016 and served as the inspiration for her 2019 track Cornelia Street. 

Taylor had rented the property while renovations were being carried out at the $18 million Tribeca residence she had purchased.

In the track titled Cornelia Street, Swift sings: ‘We were in the backseat / Drunk on something stronger than the drinks in the bar / ‘I rent a place on Cornelia Street’ / I say casually in the car.’

The song was included on her 2019 album Lover. 

The luxurious home has four bedrooms, five and a half bathrooms, a swimming pool off the living room and a private roof terrace accessed from the master bedroom.

The kitchen is also something else with a Wolf range, Sub-Zero fridge, wine fridge, granite counters, and Fiher & Paykel double draw dishwasher.

Future dwellers can nosh with views of the backyard in the luxurious dining room, which is accessible through the kitchen.

The bedrooms are also a rarity in New York with massive windows allowing for plenty of natural lighting to stream through and terraces accessible from the units.

Taylor moved out of the townhouse in 2017.

She and Alwyn got together following her high-profile romance with actor Tom Hiddleston during the summer of 2016.

Accepting her first gong for Favorite Pop Album for Red (Taylor’s Version), the star, 32, was visibly emotional as she reflected on the win for the 2021 release – which was one of six albums she re-recorded after Scooter Braun purchased her entire music catalog out from underneath her and then sold it without her knowledge for $300million to Shamrock Holdings.

Taylor also won the awards for Favorite Country Album for Red (Taylor’s Version), Favorite Music Video for All Too Well: The Short Film, Artist of the Year, Favorite Pop Female Artist and Favorite Country Female Artist. This means she has won a total of 40 AMA gongs in her career.
