Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Finn Balor & Damian Priest will defend their titles in a six-pack ladder match against several formidable teams at WrestleMania 40. The match will feature DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa), Awesome Truth (The Miz & R-Truth), The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods), Grayson Waller & Austin Theory, and Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate.
Waller & Theory and Dunne & Bate secured the last two spots in the ladder match on Friday’s SmackDown. Waller & Theory emerged victorious against The Street Profits, while Dunne & Bate defeated Angel & Humberto to qualify through the tournament.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, there’s a forthcoming meeting to determine whether Waller and Theory will remain in the match. The reasons behind a potential decision to pull them from the match are unclear, as well as who they might be replaced by.
“By the way, even though Theory and Waller won. It is not necessarily that they’re going to be in that match. They might be. There is a meeting upcoming where they will make a decision on that.”
